Beginning

The Plan

The 17' Sea Hunt has proved it self a solid, safe and enjoyable hull. However with the rate at which i am adventuring offshore there becomes a need for a larger boat which cannot be offered from this small inshore boat. With the Sea Hunt, she has seen so much which other boats in her class will never sea. 33 nautical miles offshore in 3-5 ft seas with a 150 lb Mako on the bow.

This would of been good to start at the beginning of the whole thing. but now that I'm testing this out, we'll see how it goes. Here is a 3D rendering of what I currently plan to build.
Currently I have been thinking to develop a hybrid express center console a "Canyon Console" as I would call it. I saw to designs which I currently like and plan to try to design both. one was a contender or regulator with was almost exactly what i wanted, the other was a shamrock, probably a 20' to 22' low free-board inshore - close to shore enclosed console boat.
Current Progress  Currently the topsides of the hull are in the process of being finished. that said, the frames are done, with the exception of a few minor fairing adjustments.
In this photo, we are in the process of relocating the hull to a more permanent building location.
